Ascend Capital Management was founded in 2010 — but by that time, founders Kunal and Karan Patel were already deeply rooted in the hospitality industry. As children, they observed and absorbed the operations of their parents’ two bustling hotels in Flagstaff. Building on that foundation, they went on to expand the business, gaining hands-on experience in every role from front desk to management. Today, drawing on the ethos of their early years, the Patel brothers are focused on delivering elevated, immersive hospitality experiences across a broad spectrum of touchpoints.
